ERGO Resources & Guidelines for Teachers

Within Work Package 2, the ERGO partners carried out a pedagogical and technical review to support teachers delivering robotics, coding and creative STEAM in online and hybrid classrooms. These results are freely available for educators.

ERGO Guidebook for Teachers (A2.5)

Our key result so far. The Guidebook offers practical, actionable support for educators teaching robotics, coding and creative STEAM in online and hybrid classrooms. It covers:

  • Good practices in online STEAM education, with key principles, hands-on techniques and teacher personas showing these ideas in action.
  • Good practices for empowering girls’ participation in STEAM, including a review of European initiatives and evidence-based recommendations.
  • Simulation tools and technologies for online robotics education, with a curated overview of platforms and resource repositories.

Whether you are a robotics teacher, a STEAM educator moving to online delivery or a curriculum developer, this guidebook will help you create inclusive, engaging learning experiences, no matter where your students are logging in from.

Online STEAM Pedagogical Guidelines (A2.4)

Practical guidelines to help teachers deliver engaging, inclusive and effective online and hybrid STEAM education, with a special focus on robotics, coding and creative technologies. They start from the main challenges teachers face (limited access to hardware, lower student engagement, mixed skill levels, cognitive overload and difficulties in providing real-time support) and turn them into concrete pedagogical principles and classroom strategies: collaborative problem-solving, project-based learning, visual support, peer learning, simulations and digital whiteboards. A set of teacher personas shows how these strategies work in realistic situations.

Good Practices for Empowering Girls in STEAM (A2.3)

A review of European initiatives and evidence-based recommendations to encourage and support girls’ participation in STEAM.

Resource Collection & Review of Online Robotics Tools (A2.2)

A curated collection of resources and a review of online robotics tools and simulation platforms that can be used to teach robotics online in secondary schools.
